So glad you're here! I'm a licensed therapist, certified hypnotherapist, podcaster & healer of anxiety.
(see also: Boston Terrier obsessed. Former kickboxer. Outdoor lover. Eternal Optimist. Bookworm. Not your "typical" therapist.)
Waking up in the morning feeling INSTANTLY overwhelmed & Anxious AF
Not super thrilled with your body or life
Over "it" (from your so-so relationships to not fitting into the yoga, everything just seems lackluster)
Feeling stuck & alone (because your well-meaning family & friends have no idea how secretly blah you feel)
... all of it. You're not alone in feeling that way. I've been there! I know what it's like to not feel super thrilled with how things are going. I know what it's like to know there's "more," but have no idea what it is or where to start.
It gets old feeling uncomfortable in your own skin and not being super happy with your life, or your body. You have to stop settling for less than you desire. You've put on a brave face for years... yet nobody really knows how "stuck" you feel. But I promise you, I do. I've been there, felt that.
I have over 15 years of experience in the field of psychology as a therapist, hold a Master's in counseling (including the highest license possible for my degree), and am Certified Hypnotherapist. If it can help "change your mind," I've made it my mission to learn about it.
From a series of questionable decisions in junior high & high school (and partying too much), obsessing over my body image, losing myself in toxic relationships (and learning hard lessons along the way), to many years where I didn't properly take care of my brain or body... you could say I've pretty much put myself through the ringer.
After I left those relationships, finished my degree and finally had some room to breathe after grad school, I realized I needed to clean up my life and start taking care of myself.
That's when I started to pursue goals that had been nagging at me; things I had always wanted to do but were way out of my comfort zone.
I competed in kickboxing, traveled and began to let go of the rest of the relationships and habits that were sucking the life out of me.
But despite the positive changes, the anxiety in my head remained... until after the birth of my son in 2011. That's when I really started to focus on my health -my physical, emotional & mental health.
Because it wasn't just about me anymore. It was about becoming better for my son.
The truth is, if we're not healthy and happy, we're not good to anyone.
While my son was an infant, I completed certifications in personal training, nutrition and began a blog. (aptly named Sweatpants and Superfoods) and finally learned the importance of building healthy habits vs creating ridiculous restrictions for myself.
Turns out, living a healthy lifestyle wasn't as far off as it seemed.
My passion for mental health & wellness blossomed into a business I love.
And when my mom passed away in 2015 it reinforce just how important this all is... and my mission became stronger than ever.
So here we are.
It's all here for you. You just have to make the decision that you matter.
